Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the replacement hardware kit for trailer hitches, part number RHK. This part number is the replacement installation hardware kit for Curt Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch and Reese trailer hitches. Now basically if you have a trailer hitch that has an old hardware or hardware is damaged or missing, this is the part you need to order to get everything needed to install the hitch to your vehicle.On this video we're going to describe how to order the correct installation kit for your specific trailer hitch on your vehicle. Now, every trailer hitch when it's shipped will come with the specific hardware that's required to install that hitch to your vehicle and also meet the maximum towing capacities of that hitch. Having the correct grade and strength of bolts is required for your hitch to meet those capacities. If you try to find this kit locally, like in your hardware store, it can be very difficult to get the correct bolts and size.
This part number will get you the whole correct kit you need for your application.Basically what you want to do is go to the part number on our website. Go to the part number RHK, and on that product page it'll come up. You'll see a box that'll say hitch item number. It's usually on the right hand side. Under that, a dropdown box for the hitch manufacturer.
Those are the two things you'll need to get the correct hardware kit. If you look at the hitch on your vehicle, try to find the part number on your hitch. It might be stamped somewhere on the hitch. On this one I happened to pull, it has a sticker on the end right here. It says 75938, so that's actually your part number.
Once you have that, then you just put that in the hitch item number box.Now, the next thing you need is the manufacturer. On this one, it's pretty simple. You'll see a sticker right here that'll say Draw-Tite. Click on that, the dropdown box will bring up your choices of either Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch or Reese. This one, type in the Draw-Tite with this part number and we'll get you out the correct hardware kit you need.Now, if you found both of those items, you're able to complete the order.
You're ready to go. Now, if you have a problem finding either the part number or the manufacturer, the next step is to check our fit guide on our website. Put in your year, make and model of your vehicle and that'll show you what hitches are available, brand and part number for your vehicle. You can usually narrow it down that way. You could also take a picture of your hitch, try to match the design of it like the safety chain openings, what they look like. If you have a picture, you could match it up to the website and that'll get you the correct part numbers also.Now, if you're still not able to find all that information, you can always call one of our customer service reps and they will help you find the correct parts you need. The team at etrailer went above and beyond! I have a 2011 Ford Escape and finding hitch hardware is hard enough, this site was the only one I could find to help me, they have everything! There was an extremely minor part error upon the kits delivery and Paula and the team sent me an entire replacement kit instead of just the missing nut. Talk about phenomenal customer service. We purchased a new but never installed Curtis trailer hitch at a garage sale and found the "hardware kit" was missing. The folks at etrailer responded to my query as to how to buy the kit with detailed instructions regarding the part number and instructions how to put in my order for this part. Quickly got the replacement hardware delivered. No issues after that.
The hardware was fine and fit as it should have. It was a bit pricey for what was included in it. I really only needed 3 spacers (of 6 needed to install the hitch) but you cannot buy just them. So I bought the whole package so I could get the project completed.
The kit I ordered wasn’t even complete! I see that it passed thru 3 peoples hands too. Super frustrating that I spent $60+ for this and it can’t even come complete. Incompetent at best on this order. And it looks like the installation instructions and parts sheet was chewed up by their dog.
First off the shipping clerk sat on an expedited order for 24 hours causing the order to be late. When I call and talked with Mat "a representative" I specifically asked if a small angle bracket was included. He said yes that it had everything to install the hitch. Kit does not have the bracket...
The kit was perfect! The only issue they initially didn’t respond to my email. The shipping was also very fast!

Without etrailers help, I would never have got this to work! Old car, out of production hitch, missing hardware - even the hardware kit was custom and out of production. etrailer customer service agent assigned to my order went the extra mile and found a similar kit (that was obtainable) that would work! This is an ADD story, so bare with me...
I have a Curt hitch that I needed the hardware for. I went everywhere, I called Curt and they gave me a part number, but no one actually sells this part number.
I emailed a handful of companies and called a few more and no one would help, UNTIL I called etrailer.
I gave them the Curt number and they said they dont sell it, BUT I gave them the hitch number and they said this is the kit, you'll be good.
I was worried that it was going to be 30 bolts of different sizes and it would be a hassle.
The box arrived and it was the part number from Curt. The got the right kit, they took care of me, I was worried over nothing.
Etrailer kept me in the loop, initially I called and they said they'd let me know once it shipped, I didn't expect a phone call, but they did, then the day after it arrived, she emailed and had me double check everything was there, but I knew I was good once I saw the Curt part number. Etrailer took great care of me!!!
This was exactly what I needed. I got a used hitch from a salvage yard that didn't include the mounting hardware kit. Joanne found what I needed for the install and shipped it that same day. It didn't take too long to arrive considering it was ordered just before to a holiday weekend. Overall it was a great experience. My only complaint is that the price was high for a bolt kit.

The kit was delivered fine and all the parts were exactly as described. I especially liked the wire pulls that you screw onto the bolts to pull them through the frame to the desired holes. The kit was the perfect solution to help me get this hitch mounted.

Well, the hitch is still being held to the car :D So no complaints here.
